    Founded in 1990, Cornerstone College is a leading co-educational Year 7-12 Christian school overlooking thriving Mount Barker in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.  A world class approach to learning and wellbeing provides the greatest opportunity for over 700 students to flourish.  With a mission of “individual excellence, learning and responsibility for life”, the College has a bright future and creates bright futures.

    The Head of People & Culture works closely with the Principal and Executive Team in the leadership and management of the College’s people and culture function, by providing a range of expertise and developing new systems and procedures to meet the operational and strategic goals of the College.  This strategic and operational role will work collaboratively to oversee all aspects of the people and culture function.  Key areas of responsibility include:

    • strategic HR management, industrial relations and culture development;
    • training and development policy and programs;
    • attraction, recruitment and retention strategies and systems;
    • talent management and workforce planning;
    • remuneration and benefits ensuring all compliance obligations;
    • organisational development and change management initiatives.

    Applications are invited from proven senior human resources professionals with appropriate tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in policy analysis, development and implementation, and creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork. Experience in the education sector or a comparable human services domain will be well regarded but is not essential.  Authenticity, agility, strong leadership, highly effective interpersonal skills and management and strategic thinking capabilities are important qualities for success in this role.

    This is a unique hills-based opportunity to join a successful, inclusive school with a determined focus on positive culture and attraction, retention and development of people who are genuinely committed to the very best pedagogical and wellbeing outcomes for young people.
