The South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) is the leading industry association representing the resource and energy sector. SACOME are a small yet dedicated team that services the needs of approximately 130 member organisations, proudly advocating for and on behalf of the resources sector with true independence.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and leading a small team, the focus of this newly created executive role is to provide functional leadership and drive SACOME’s key strategies across, membership growth and retention, strategic communications, event management, sponsorship, and education, workforce and skills. This broad portfolio will include external/corporate affairs, member engagement, commercial partnerships and leading initiatives to address industry workforce labour challenges.
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified executives with preferably either a corporate affairs, communications or professional membership services background. The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. A working knowledge of policy and regulatory issues in the energy/resources sector, will be highly desirable.
