    Hender Consulting is a leading executive search and recruitment firm and part of the successful and diversified Hender Group.  We specialise in executive search and recruitment for C-Suite, Board Director, management and leadership appointments, and related HR advisory work.  For over 30 years we’ve earned and held the trust of a diverse client base including government agencies, universities, not-for-profit, education, private and commercial entities and many other sectors.  Our lead consultants are some of the most experienced, established and respected in the State, known for integrity, consistency, quality advice and highly engaged client relationships.

    Reporting to our Executive Support Manager, and working as part of a cohesive team, an opportunity exists for a collaborative executive support professional to play a key role in our highly valued support team.  Key responsibilities include:

    • providing administrative and executive support to a small team of Executive Consultants across a broad range of file management, client and candidate related activities;
    • calendar management including scheduling interviews, panel sessions, other meetings and associated logistics;
    • ensuring responsive, confidential and customer focussed communications with clients and candidates;
    • managing preparation, proofing and publishing of advertisements and a variety of documents including role specifications, proposals and reports;
    • managing digital, database, website, system and application tasks to ensure client files are progressed efficiently.

    We are open to applications from both experienced and emerging administration professionals and can accommodate a December or January start.  Most importantly, you will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic and professionally enriching environment where responsiveness, respect, integrity, confidentiality and care are essential.  You will also demonstrate:

    • meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with an unwavering customer service focus;
    • a natural ‘one team’ approach, willing to assist across the team as required;
    • a calm, composed and positive demeanour with excellent initiative and problem solving abilities;
    • high proficiency with the MS Office suite and a natural ability to understand systems and drive improvements;
    • a good sense of humour with the warmth, agility and resilience sometimes required when the pressure is on;
    • experience in a comparable professional services environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.
