RLSSA is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and operational management to this critical organisation.  This role will be responsible for driving the organisation’s mission while maintaining its financial stability and strong stakeholder engagement levels. Key responsibilities of this diverse leadership role include:

• leading implementation of the strategic plan to enhance water safety, inclusivity and community engagement;
• advocating for drowning prevention and aquatic safety polices at local, state and national levels and ensuring representation at key forums, partnerships and media engagements;
• maintaining and enhancing stakeholder relationships across all levels including government agencies, community groups, sponsors, industry stakeholders, members and volunteers;
• working cohesively with the Board and offering expertise in best practice;
• overseeing the organisation’s operations ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and ethical standards and best practice in governance, risk management and policy implementation;
• identifying and implementing opportunities for organisational growth including expanding revenue streams, fostering innovative collaborations and leading new initiatives.

Proven executive/senior leadership experience in a not-for-profit or community-focused organisation would be highly beneficial.  The successful candidate will have experience leading teams, managing complex budgets and driving strategic outcomes together with exceptional stakeholder engagement and advocacy abilities.
