    Renewal SA is the South Australian government’s leading urban development agency, dedicated to improving the lives of all South Australians by leading, supporting, and driving investment and growth through property and projects.  Delivering some of the state’s largest urban developments including Lot Fourteen, Bowden, Playford Alive, the Tonsley Innovation District, and the revitalisation of Festival Plaza, Renewal SA continues to ensure the state’s future employment and housing needs are met while contributing to a strong economy.

    With a significant development program in the pipeline, including the landmark Thebarton/Southwark precinct transformation, it’s an exciting time to join the organisation in a pivotal role.

    Reporting to the Director, Transformation and Change, the Manager, Corporate Governance Office is responsible for leading the corporate governance, secretariat, and program management office functions to ensure probity, equity, and best practice standards in project delivery and public administration are met.  Key responsibilities include:

    • custodian of Renewal SA’s overall corporate governance framework and project governance framework, ensuring high level performance and compliance;
    • the principal advisor on matters relating to governance, providing strategic advice on corporate governance and legislative requirements;
    • drive a high-performing team to support the business in delivering exceptional property development projects within an increasingly complex and dynamic environment;
    • identify and mitigate corporate risks by ensuring robust governance processes;
    • facilitate consultation with the Office of the Chief Executive to enable enterprise-wide oversight of governance programs;
    • develop and embed the project governance framework and establish a PMO capability;
    • develop, coach, and build capability within the corporate governance team, driving a culture of governance literacy and education across the organisation.

    Applications are sought from governance professionals with experience in a comparable role in a complex governance environment. Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in public administration, corporate governance, program/project governance or a relevant discipline, with an understanding of public administration and legislative requirements.  With people leadership experience you will demonstrate highly effective stakeholder influence and engagement, change management, and strategic thinking skills.  An agile, consultative, collaborative and solutions-focused approach is important.

    Don’t miss this opportunity to join a dynamic work environment where you can make a significant impact on governance practices with an entity delivering lasting community impact for South Australia.
