Mellor Olsson is a leading South Australian law firm offering a comprehensive range of legal services.  With a history spanning over 100 years, the firm continues to strengthen and grow and now employs approximately 90 staff in contemporary facilities in the Adelaide CBD as well as staffed offices in Port Lincoln, Clare Valley and the Barossa.

After several highly successful years, the current incumbent Paul Anderson will leave the position in 2025, creating an exciting opportunity to build on what has been implemented in his tenure.

Reporting to the Capital Partnership and working closely with the established Executive Management Team, this important position will take responsibility for:

• effectively implementing the business strategy, positioning the firm in the market and overseeing effective operations;
• leading, mentoring, developing and motivating the dedicated staff to ensure a positive culture, accountability and the highest standards of business excellence;
• overseeing the delivery of ongoing financial, technological and performance improvements.

This position will suit an appropriately qualified and highly accomplished executive who can demonstrate a successful track record of leadership in a comparable business.  An understanding of the dynamics of a privately owned professional services firm will be a distinct advantage but is not essential.  Amongst the higher level skills sought are innovative and analytical thinking, diplomacy, credibility, drive, authenticity, proactivity, vision, strong influencing, engaging and advocacy capabilities, commercial and political acumen, and genuine leadership qualities.
